Thousands of children and teenagers from Luhansk region are currently living in different regions of Ukraine. Due to the security situation, their communities are unable to organise summer clubs for them in the traditional format. But childhood cannot be put on hold, nor can the need for social interaction, personal development, and self-discovery be postponed.
Therefore, within the framework of DECIDE Summer Clubs 2026 initiative “We Are at Home – in Ukraine”, we have selected communities and civil society organisations to organise summer clubs for children and teenagers who are internally displaced from Luhansk region.
If children cannot join summer clubs in their own communities, we are creating such a space for them right where they are now!
We are therefore pleased to announce the names of those who will help us with this. Following the competitive selection process, grant support will be awarded to:
- Prostir Foundation;
- Charitable found “Arms of Mercy”.
What awaits the participants of the summer clubs?
- career guidance: exploring their strengths and interests, and taking the first steps in choosing a future profession;
- the development of soft skills and life skills;
- social adaptation and stress relief;
- a lot of exciting teamwork.
Ahead awaits a summer full of meaningful experiences, new friendships, exciting activities, an introduction to the world of professions, and lots of heartfelt emotions.
We are grateful to all the communities and civil society organisations that have submitted applications and continue to support children from Luhansk region!
We congratulate the winners and wish them successful implementation of the initiative!
