How to develop territorial communities and territories during the war and in the post-war period? This was discussed during the Inclusive Community Restoration Forum within the framework of the Second Summit of Cities and Regions chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi. Representatives of the DESIDE Swiss-Ukrainian project also took part in the event.
During the Inclusive Community Recovery forum, the following topics were discussed the following:
– difficulties in coordinating humanitarian assistance and community recovery;
– financing options that can involve communities to intensify recovery;
– geographical and sectoral approaches to community recovery;
– ways to determine the parameters of community recovery.
And community representatives shared stories of successful recovery initiatives that were built on the principles of accessibility, equality and inclusiveness.
The event was joined by community partners of the DECIDE: RECONSTRUCTION initiative, who were the first to complete projects to restore school shelters and create educational hubs in them.
Representatives of the Borodianka amalgamated community also participated in the discussion, in which the Inclusive Resource Center is being restored jointly with the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
